Wendi Koziol, APR

Wendi Koziol brings 20 years of professional public relations experience to Public Communications Inc.’s clients, working with a diverse group of healthcare, education and nonprofit organizations. She has been involved in some of the agency’s most sophisticated programs, developing strategy and managing account teams to keep programs generating results.

Wendi honed her leadership and issues management skills at Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation and uses those skills to counsel clients facing challenging issues and potential crises. She is certified by the Center for Communication Compliance in Healthcare Regulatory Compliance for Public Relations, Internet Promotion and Social Media. Wendi also is certified in Internet Marketing Fundamentals, and as a Content Marketing Practitioner and a Conversion Optimization Practitioner by Market Motive, an industry leader in online marketing training.

The programs Wendi leads have won numerous awards, including the Museum of Science and Industry’s “Month at the Museum” campaign, which earned the MarCom National Platinum Award and the Publicity Club of Chicago’s Brand Builder Award. A campaign she headed up for the National Society of Genetic Counselors received the Best of Skylines Award from the Public Relations Society of America Chicago chapter.

Her passion for community service led Wendi to help create and lead PCI Cares, which promotes staff involvement in company-sponsored service projects and supports individual employees’ volunteer efforts. The program won the national Communitas Award for Leadership in Community Service.

Wendi earned both her graduate and undergraduate degrees from Marquette University. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, the Publicity Club of Chicago and the Word of Mouth Marketing Association.
