MUSEUM GRAND RE-OPENING

The Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art in Elmhurst closed in May 2019 with plans to re-open during the fall in a new location at 1220 Kensington Road in Oakbrook. To introduce its new identity, the museum needed for communications assistance in the run-up to the museum’s close, during the summer months while moving into and commissioning the new facility, and re-engaging longstanding audiences while engaging new ones after the move.

OBJECTIVES
PCI assisted the Lizzadro Museum explore opportunities with its re-opening to engage supporting communities re-discover the museum that contributes a unique experience to the cultural scene. We provided clear, concise and consistent messaging with a communications plan reaching target audiences and building excitement for the grand opening
RESULTS
659,000 people reached from media activities
For the Lizzadro Museum, we provided compelling story angles, visual assets opportunities that resulted in nearly a dozen media placements for the grand re-opening, including television, radio and print placements. Our team provided onsite support to ensure interviews were handled successfully
